**Your Job**
- Develop, build, and maintain models and tools to support our Commodity Sales and Trading team. This opportunity is located in a fast-paced trading floor environment, where maintaining and optimizing tool accuracy, speed, and efficiency are of utmost importance
- Experience using software such as Python, PowerBI, Excel and Bloomberg will be tailored to support Commodity Sales and Trading initiatives
- Assist both Sales and Trading in following industry news and attending industry-relevant events and meetings affecting all segments of the energy industry
- Create and maintain rich visualizations, presentations, and pitch books with reporting components from multiple data sources
- Compile and evaluate general industry information and research, forming market views and opinions and sharing with the team, clients and stakeholders
- Assist the Commodity Sales and Trading team with ad-hoc projects and analytical assignments as required

**Your Team**

Within the Commodity Derivatives sector, you will be a part of a team of National Bank colleagues, reporting to the Head of Trading. A highly motivated individual will have the opportunity to get invaluable experience working directly with Commodity Sales and Trading team. You will be conducting analysis across all facets of the energy commodity space with the overriding objective of developing business opportunities.

**Basic Requirements**
- Completed a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics, with progression towards completion of a CFA or CPA
- Very strong computer skills, including Python, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, and Bloomberg, in addition to sourcing and scraping data from various sources for modeling purposes
- Experience with databases and data analysis in Python with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools
- Comfortable presenting with the ability to communicate complex and highly detailed information in a concise manner to various internal and external audiences
