**Anticipated Start Date**: August 2024
**Location**: London, Ontario.

**Compensation**: $37,000 to $45,000 depending on experience and/or qualification
**Education**: Completion of university
**Experience**: Working with students, Teaching, peer counseling.

**Work Setting**: Boarding school, Private school, Secondary school

**Primary Role**: Responsible for supporting student’s academic and career needs of secondary and post-secondary counselling on course selection and university/college placement. Aide with enlisting community resources as required in support of student needs. Responsible for counseling students on personal, social and academic issues.

**Specific Skills**:
Ø Counsel all students grade 9-12 on secondary course selection.

Ø Manage the Ontario University Applications (OUAC), Ontario College Applications (OCAS) and support students interested in other Canadian post-secondary options.

Ø Work with teachers, parents and students on overcoming student problems.

Ø Undertake guidance administrative work such as transcript, data entry, etc.

Ø Oversee the maintenance of the OSR’s.

Ø Assist the Head of School in course scheduling and timetabling.
Assist with admissions, interviews and follow-up as needed.

Ø Assist with Academy presentations and parent teacher interviews.
Compile a list of Community Resources for students and recommend as needed.

Ø Handle inquires as needed concerning all programs.

Ø Other duties as assigned by the Director of Guidance and Head of School.

**Security and Safety**: Criminal record check required.

**Other**: Student Recruitment & Summer Camp experience desired.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
