Summerhill Market is looking for a Receiver/Grocery Clerk.

The role of the Receiver is to receive deliveries from vendors via the loading dock. The Receiver is responsible for checking deliveries as they are made, and ensuring the shipment is directed to the correct department and location. You will also be tasked with with the loading and unloading of goods and assisting at the stores as needed.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a member of the Summerhill Market team, you will conduct yourself with integrity and are committed to providing the best possible service to Summerhill’s customers, staff and clients.

The responsibilities of the Receiver include but are not limited to:

- Organizing and packing of skids for transport;
- Coordinating delivery drivers to ensure traffic is not disrupted along the roadway
- Using lift jacks to move pallets
- Reporting any issues with the shipments or with the procedures around loading and unloading to your supervisor;
- Monitoring deliveries and recording mis-ships
- Supporting with creating and building product displays, ensuring proper facing of products
- Handling product damages and credits according to company policy
- Becoming familiar with all store products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items
- Maintaining Health and Safety Standards as defined under the Health and Safety Act;
- Any other reasonable tasks as assigned.

**CREDENTIALS REQUIRED**

Qualifications/Experience:

- Valid Ontario drivers license with a clean driving record;
- Criminal record check;
- Able to deal work outdoors in all seasons and all types of weather;
- Able to work under pressure and tight timelines;
- Able to remain calm under pressure;
- Able to work early mornings; shifts start at 7 am
- Able to handle physical work, mainly lifting and hauling;
- Power Assist Lift Jack License would be an asset;
- WHMIS training would be an asset.
