**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with business units to provide counsel and support in an information technology focused practice area
- Review, revise, and negotiate licensing agreements, contracts and other related technology agreements and advise business units on risks and mitigation of same
- Conduct legal research and provide advice to various department heads and executives
- Identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations and develop practical solutions in an efficient and timely manner
- Develop working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively with outside counsel
- Write concise briefs on regulations, legal/compliance matters and other ad hoc legal issues to defend legal position and provide guidance to team
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Understanding of the business and ethical considerations in exploring generative AI

**Skills and Experience**
- Two (2) to four (4) years post-call experience, with a preference for those with working experience in an in-house Legal Counsel role
- Experience in negotiating commercial contracts, particularly within technology, digital and data domains
- Demonstrated ability to identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations and develop practical solutions
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
- Customer service driven
- Ability to communicate in both English and French (oral and written) would be an asset
