Willowridge Construction is currently searching for an HSE Advisor to join our Industrial Projects team We offer a great work atmosphere, competitive wages, benefits, RRSP program and this is a long term opportunity.

Oversee and lead the administration and implementation of a singular Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) matrix across Willowridge Construction’s client (Industrial Projects Team) business unit and platform based on hazard and risk.

**Accountabilities**:

- Responsible to maintain a standardized HSE training syllabi and core safety training matrix.
- Coach, motivate, advise and consult with stakeholders and customers on health, safety & environmental issues with a focus on human behaviour and a consistent safety message.
- Identify issues and provide solutions and support for various HSE management systems
- Support the development and implementation of an annual H&S communication plan which includes a broad cross section of health and safety communications utilizing a variety of communication channels
- Source and develop industry best practices by participating in external pipeline, safety and training committees, monitoring industry trends and identifying new technologies and disciplines in the area of injury prevention and safety culture development

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required**:

- 5+ years of progressively responsible health & safety experience within the oil and gas, industrial construction and/or petrochemical industry is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Experienced working with learning management systems
- Knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Canadian OH&S legislation
- Knowledge of industrial construction activities, best-practices and issues. Has a working knowledge base with leading edge health and safety program techniques
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative, tactical, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, influence without authority, facilitate, solve problems, make decisions, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, be self-directed and handle multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- WHMIS 2015
- CSTS 09
- Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C
- Clean D&A record

This is a field based position and may support multiple projects in the Edmonton region. It will be important to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels within the organization; as well as with clients and stakeholders.
