The Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning is the largest of four departments at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). With a diverse community of tenured, research, and teaching stream faculty, the department offers a wide-range of graduate courses and programs relating to academic scholarship and professional practice.

**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Chair, the Manager, Academic Programs provides leadership and managerial oversight to the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning’s graduate programs. Working with academic leadership, the Manager contributes to the development of strategic priorities, program-specific objectives and to the budget process. The Manager provides strategic operational guidance on administrative best practices and engages in continual innovation and improvement to ensure consistent high-quality administrative support is provided to all programs.

The Manager, Academic Programs has full managerial authority over the administrative program staff. The incumbent will collaborate to implement best practices to decrease barriers in order to attract and retain diverse students.

**Essential Qualifications**:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent acceptable combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five years of senior administrative experience, including significant management experience, preferably in a unionized environment. Experience working in an educational setting or teaching hospital preferred. Experience with program administration or related experience in a senior administrative support role in an academic environment. Demonstrated project management experience, including developing strategies and implementing initiatives and establishing best practices. A well-developed financial acumen, including financial analysis and budgeting. Experience administering varied financial and human resources policies, procedures and collective agreements.

SKILLS:
Strong computer skills with high level of proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint; intermediate proficiency in Excel; high level of technical ability and experience working with survey tools and content

management systems. Proficiency with learning management, admissions, and educational technology systems (i.e., Quercus, POWER, Slate) would be considered a strong asset.
