**Project Manager**

Landmark Solutions Ltd., based in Salmon Arm BC, is looking for a Project Manager to join our construction team. Applicants should have engineering degree in a related discipline with a minimum 10 years of progressive Project management experience. Other combinations of experience and education will be considered. PMP designation would be an asset.

Recently, we were awarded a two-year contract with Parks Canada to construct the Mountain Caribou Breeding Facility Project near Jasper AB. With the support of the Landmark COO and support team, the first two years of this position will be focused on the effective management of this Project.

**Job Description**:

- Works with Landmark Management and Project Superintendent to ensure implementation of the Landmark Health and Safety Management Program and other Landmark systems.
- Lead and mentor the Construction Team toward optimum performance.
- Effectively communicate with the Landmark Superintendent and subcontractors to ensure that performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
- Effectively collaborate with Site Superintendents, subcontractors and client representatives to meet project objectives.
- Proactively manage and mitigate potential problems, work interferences, and schedule conflicts or setbacks.
- Maintain effective communication between Superintendent, Project Team and subcontractors to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
- Maintain effective communication lines with client contacts and Landmark support staff.
- Visualize entire project, plans, and maintain a project schedule that identifies the critical path and anticipates constructability issues. Work with the Project Superintendent and Landmark’s management Team to resolve critical path issues or constructability concerns.
- Develop, implement, and update the Project Execution Plan and a resource-loaded rolling three-week lookahead schedule.
- Execute and maintain the project plan and schedule and ensure compliance with budget, quality, and Landmark protocol.
- Ensure that completion (progress) and financial tracking is completed and routinely communicated to Landmark Management (Weekly Status Meetings).
- Review and understand the contract and subcontracts and develop work plans that identifies and mitigates risks and maximizes opportunities to ensure that budgets and forecasts are met.
- Maintain project administration correspondence and comply with Landmark reporting requirements (e.g., Daily Project Update Report).
- Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier focused relationships.
- Effective interaction with all Landmark personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Maintain contract drawings, and accurate site records, and fully understand contract specifications.

Job Requirements:

- Be an effective and diplomatic communicator.
- Have successfully managed an onsite Project Team.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in the construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to read plans and drawings with a close attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating own forces work and subcontractors with three-week lookahead schedules.
- Thorough understanding of contract language with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and identify and leverage opportunities.
- Coordinate and lead effective site meetings with the Project Team and subcontractors and able to present at client meetings as required.
- Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional judgment.
- Directly manage human resource and public interaction issues.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
- Working knowledge of MMCD and CCDC is an asset.
- Coordinate Landmark resources, site administration, camp operations, and warehouse functions are maintained and run efficiently.
