**Job Description**:
The Spiritual Care Manager is responsible for managing, developing, implementing and evaluating spiritual care within the health centre. This includes ensuring that the spiritual needs of patients, their families/friends, staff and volunteers are met.

As a member of the management team, the principle responsibilities include: planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the long range and short term strategies to meet the on-going needs, changes and challenges of Spiritual Care services; providing supervision of all Spiritual Care staff, community faith leaders and designated spiritual volunteer visitors; planning, organizing, and directing Clinical Psycho-spiritual Educational Programs; performing budgeting and other financial responsibilities; implementing research studies/programs that examine the practice of spiritual care from an evidence based perspective; providing direct spiritual care for patients, their families/friends and staff when circumstances require; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

**Education**:

- A Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy, Master of Pastoral Studies, or Master in Spiritual Counselling
- Certification as a Spiritual Care practitioner with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC), required.
- Certification as a Supervisor-Educator or Provisional Supervisor-Educator with CASC, required.
- Registration as a Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) in Ontario or willing to become registered with CRPO preferred.

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years minimum of practical and relevant experience.
- Three to five (3 to 5) years minimum supervising CPE with CASC.
- Five (5) years minimum clinical experience as a spiritual care practitioner.
- Ordination or specific mandate and good standing in accordance with polity of incumbent’s spiritual affiliation.
