The **Clinical Assistant** will work with our **Clinicians** to monitor and provide ongoing support to our sleep apnea patients.

Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is an asset.

Duties include:

- Review and monitor therapy history of OSA patients (under the direction of Clinicians)
- Provide service requirements for patients on PAP therapy (under the direction of Clinicians)
- Perform infection control practices for patient and employee safety
- Maintain and prepare equipment for diagnostic studies and PAP therapy
- Implement and maintain PAP therapy on patients according to medical practitioner prescription (including assessment of best equipment and mask for successful therapy)
- Prepare PAP therapy compliance reports, post oximetry reports, and progress notes for medical practitioners
- Maintain, calibrate and operate equipment related to ambulatory sleep studies
- Participate in team activities to ensure an efficient and effective delivery of services
- Document all patient information in the electronic medical record
- Prepare extended health benefits submissions for patients
- Oversee the duties of the medical office assistant
- Complete equipment inventory tasks

Expectations and requirements of this role:

- Attend staff and safety meetings as scheduled
- Participate in safety audits of workspace, communicate any concerns immediately
- Participate in regular staff training and continuing education
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Participate in accreditation and standards activities
- Follow guidelines for patient testing and treatment according to company protocols
- Follow Infection Control policies and procedures

Required credentials and experience:

- Must be currently registered in discipline
- Must maintain registration status and competencies related to registration
- A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with sleep apnea patients an asset
- Manadarin or Cantonese speaking is an asset

Report to:

- Report directly to the VP, Operations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
