**Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Job Quest Program, facilitates the delivery of online learning project for Migrant Workers to support for the enhancement of their communication skills and language support for their community connection and enhance job retention. Provides ongoing support to clients, which may include training clients with limited computer skills, on individual and group basis ensuring clients receive the necessary supports to gain the knowledge they require. Administers online courses, provides individualized feedback on assignments, fosters interaction among students, and ensures clients receive the support they require through linking clients to other information, services and/or programs. Tracks client progress and ensures appropriate data is recorded. Fosters partnerships and promotes online learning courses to external service providers. Conduct client recruitment, program marketing and project evaluation activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides ongoing support to clients on individual and group basis (including those with limited computer skills), ensuring clients receive the necessary supports to gain the knowledge they require for job retention,
- Administers online courses, provides individualized feedback on assignments and fosters interaction among clients. Updates curriculum as required.
- Assesses client needs (including strengths and barriers), to develop an individualized learning plan which outlines a strategy to achieve communication and job retention skills and migrant worker’s settlement success based on identified needs, available services and community supports. Monitors plan to ensure clients are on target, adjusting plan if necessary, to meet individual client needs.
- Refers clients to appropriate community resources based on assessed needs. Assists clients to access services, make appointments and complete forms.
- Promotes/markets online learning courses to external service providers and delivers information sessions to potential client groups throughout the Metro Vancouver area.
- Enters client information and service interventions into centralized database as client service occurs. Provides narrative into reports as required.
- Performs service bridging for clients to appropriate resources clients by serving as a resource to clients and staff of external agencies regarding unique challenges and needs for temporary foreign workers cultural interpretation on issues, client needs and related projects and services.
- Participate in approved sectoral and community networks. Develop resource materials and note trends and settlement pattern
- Able to conduct individualized case management services in person and online including resume and cover letter development, interview coaching, connection with prospective employers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Diploma in Social Sciences, counselling or a related discipline acceptable to the employer, knowledge of the local labour market, experience in providing individualized employment counselling and a certificate or diploma from a TESL Canada recognized training supplemented by a minimum of one (1) to (2) years of experience recent related experience **OR** an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer. Current knowledge of legislation, services and information affecting immigrant and refugees including issues facing newcomers an asset.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and courteously with clientele, staff and the public who come from differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Demonstrated experience in delivering online programming.
- Demonstrated ability to support students in an online environment including making adaptations/modifications to online content to enhance student outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and facilitating groups.
- Ability to set and maintain boundaries with clients and manage self-care.
- Service-oriented with a demonstrated willingness to help the department and the organization achieve desired objectives and targets.
- Possession of and the ability to maintain a clear provincial criminal record check.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
