- Part Time Split Shift: 7:00/7:30 am - 9:00/9:30 am and 2:30-5:30 pm (up to 25 hours)
- Full Time Split Shift: 7:00/7:30 am - 9:00/9:30 am and 2:30-5:30 pm with a midday shift at one of our child care centres (40 hours)

P_**osition Summary**
**As a School Age Educator, you will support children between the ages of 4-12 as they become active contributing community members. In this position, you will cultivate relationships with school personnel to enhance the quality of learning experiences for children, remain curious alongside and guide children through daily learning experiences, and consistently strive to deepen your understanding of the culture you cultivate within a classroom.**
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain constant supervision and prioritize the physical and emotional safety of children at all times
- Implement an emergent curriculum by fostering and nurturing child-led learning experiences that support children in exploring topics that cultivate their curiosity
- Collaborate with families and school personnel to share insights, involve them in the curriculum planning process, and seek input on children’s varying interests and needs
- Seek to understand children’s diverse needs and abilities and provide an inclusive program within a community based practice
- Respond to all personal care needs of children throughout the day while working at a childcare centre (e.g. diapering, toileting, meal gatherings, rest time, transition times, etc.)
- Comprehend and adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), health and safety guidelines, and London Bridge policies and procedures
- Perform a range of administrative functions, such as documenting children’s attendance, maintaining daily charts and medication logs, and accident reports as required daily
- Live into London Bridge’s value of lifelong learning through attending professional development and engaging in reflective conversations alongside colleagues, community partners, and school personnel to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all children
**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children, including those with diverse needs, is considered an asset
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field (including but not limited to Social Service Worker (SSW), Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Child and Youth Worker (CYW), BA in Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, Sociology)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
- A strong understanding of child development, encompassing practices and pedagogical approaches tailored to the developmental stage of the child
- Curious, reflective, and eager for ongoing professional growth
- Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and adaptability in responding to the evolving needs, interests, and dynamics of the children, the program, and the environment
- Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last 6 months
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (WSIB approved)
- Immunizations Records (Tetanus Toxoid and Rubella)
