- Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. We are seeking employees with a passion for public service who share our commitment to creating a complete, inclusive and livable community.
- The primary duties in this position will be comprised of a variety of tasks including: lawn, garden and tree maintenance using small power and manual equipment and mowers; and assisting with a variety of tasks related to Cemetery operation and maintenance.

Applicants must have:

- Ÿ General knowledge concerning safe use of landscape and maintenance equipment;
- Ÿ Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of manual outdoor work in all types of weather;
- Ÿ An aptitude/interest in Parks and Cemetery operations; Ÿ

An ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with the public and staff, and to interact tactfully and sensitively with clients; and
- Ÿ Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License for the Province of BC.

Position Status:
Union (WVMEA) -Temporary Full-Time

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)

Starting Rate of Pay:
$29.84 plus 14% in lieu of benefits

Closing Date:
11:59 p.m. on July 4, 2024
