**About the Role**:
The Restaurant Front of House Facilitator/Instructor will lead and deliver programs and training modules as necessary both virtually and in-person for new entrant job seekers and incumbent workers in Toronto’s Hospitality Industry. Courses are delivered during the day Monday through Friday and occasionally on evenings and weekends. Most delivery is done in-person with occasional delivery done virtually. Programs are between 1 day and 4 weeks in length.

We are seeking someone with professional experience in Front of House Restaurant Operations. As a member of the training team, you will deliver Front of House vocational training, in addition you will deliver employment readiness training modules and learn and support the delivery of all other vocational based modules as needed. To this you will bring experience in facilitation and or education, and/or program delivery.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

- Comfortably facilitating both in person and virtually using relevant cutting-edge tools and technologies and being flexible and adaptable to new methods and technologies as they emerge
- Developing and following curriculum outlines and lesson plans to effectively articulate all curricular elements including the administration of quizzes, assessments and performance feedback
- Establishing a classroom culture of high standards, professionalism, social support, peer engagement and inclusivity. This includes fully engaging in and leading training courses with a high standard for work-habits, positive attitude/moral, peer support, teamwork, respect and pride
- Considering, respecting and responding to the needs of all participants either personally or by engaging other professionals at HWTC
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to always improve HWTC’s training programs, curriculum and participant supports
- Working in partnership with all HWTC teams and staff to support participants throughout their journey with HWTC from intake through post-employment while respecting the privacy and confidentiality of all participant information
- Other duties as assigned.

**About You**:

- Front of house restaurant experience minimum 3 years.
- 3-5 years teaching/facilitation experience
- Certificate in Adult Education an asset
- Excellent communications and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- An understanding of systemic issues that affect the experience and needs of learners/job seekers, including individuals with: English as a Second Language, experience in the refugee and immigration system, experiences of poverty, trauma, disabilities and mental health experiences.
- The ability to work independently, with a strong sense of ownership/accountability for your assigned tasks
- Adaptable, collaborative and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Delights in problem solving and dedicated to continuous improvement

This is a full-time position. The salary range is between $55,000 - $65,000. We have a 100% employer funded health and wellness plan and generous leave entitlements. Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
