Jayco Builders is looking for a Construction Site Supervisor to be responsible for two worksites. One site is located in the Brandon, MB area, and the other in Moosomin, SK. Please see job description below.

**Position**: Site Supervisor

Department: Commercial, Industrial & Residential

Reports To: Project Manager

**Overview**:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the process of the construction projects and ensuring compliance with construction safety regulations. They supervise construction workers and subcontractors, and evaluate employee performance. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring the flow of communication between the job site and project management team and coordinating the work done on site.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all sub trades and employees on the job site including coordinating subcontractor work, providing on site orientations, and ensuring employees are trained on their job duties.
- Coordinate the flow of communication between the job site, and the project management team.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure employees and subcontractors are following all safety policies and procedures and enforce health and safety policies and legislations.
- Identify and report any health and safety concerns to the Safety Officer.
- Understand project plans and specifications.
- Update Project Manager on project progress and escalate concerns regarding timelines and schedules.
- Assist Purchasers with ordering materials and scheduling deliveries as requested.
- Maintain site security and escalate security issues to the Project Manager.
- Prepare a deficiency list.
- Conduct site orientations for new sub trades and ensure all employees are trained.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractor work.
- Monitor the quality of work and perform inspections as needed.
- Ensure paperwork is submitted to head office including change orders, purchase orders, safety forms, and invoices.
- Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the above duties, the Commercial/Industrial Site Supervisors are responsible to:

- Lead daily safety meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Deadlines**:
It is the responsibility of the Site Supervisor to ensure all deadlines are met:

- Project deadlines as per the schedule.
- Ad-hoc deadlines as required.

**Education/Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Post secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years experience in industrial, commercial, or residential construction is required.
- Experience in a leadership role is an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Supervisory Duties**:
This position requires supervision of multiple employees. The supervisor’s responsibilities include assisting the manager with regular performance reviews and career development with all direct reports. They oversee delegating tasks equally across the team and keep employees updated on information from the Executive Management team. Some conflict resolution may be required with assistance from Human Resources.

**Mental Demands**:
This position will manage a number of requests and priorities at one time. Constant pivoting between multiple tasks can be expected which come with tight deadlines. Increased stress levels due to high work volumes and strict project schedules should be expected in this role. Problem solving project issues can also contribute to increased stress levels.

**Work Environment**:
This position is located in an air-conditioned trailer on the job site with natural, and fluorescent lighting. Typical noise levels can vary with muted levels in the trailer and increased noise levels outside. This position experiences various weather conditions that can bring hot or cold temperatures.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
