- Manage ODC (Ontario Diesel Centre) and Metro West Garage
- Maintain the Quality System (ISO) program within the ODC and Metro West Garage
- Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment
- Review and institute corrective action plan with respect to financial statement
- Provide Support/guidance to Operations team to ensure Regulatory compliant, safe, efficient & reliable vehicles
- Maintain a good cosmetic look & clean fleet for operations
- Attend regular Operation’s meetings
- Compliance to local governmental regulations & compliant fleet licenecing
- Ensure all company/departmental policies and procedures are followed
- Field/garage audits
- Negotiating competitive pricing and arrangements with suppliers/vendors
- Completion and execution of business plans
- Participating in corporate initiative’s, e.g. employee loyalty, health & safety negotiations
- Employee training, coaching and development
- Proficient use of Microsoft office products (word, excel and PowerPoint)
- Train / update Operations group on new equipment types
- All other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Certified mechanic’s license preferred / or equivalent work experience
- Fleet maintenance system knowledge required (Fleet Assistant)
- Strong knowledge of heavy and light vehicle maintenance
- Excellent analytical skills with a clear understanding of financial statements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong training abilities with the ability to mentor and coach employees
- Ability to motivate, lead and develop and manage a diverse work group
- Valid drivers license required
- Quality process oriented
