**SUMMARY**
Our marketing team is responsible for driving marketing excellence and proven results for our clients with a commitment to building exceptional experiences. We are the stewards of our brand and those of our vendor and partner clients; and are called upon to develop and execute stellar go-to-market motions to drive new business.
This position requires a strategic, analytical and creative mind that is able to work with internal and external clients to understand their needs and develop marketing strategies to achieve on stated goals.
This role will be ultimately responsible to build annual marketing strategies for the Canadian D&H team that support their sales growth targets while driving D&H brand awareness in the channel.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Work in partnership with the Canadian GM, Sales & Vendor Management leadership and Director of Marketing (Canada) to design annual GTM plans that help to grow D&H’s brand awareness across the Canadian market.
Work with teams to Identify, develop and fulfill compelling, engaging and scalable marketing activities and tactics that can most appropriately execute the strategy and plan associated with leadership objectives.
- Partner with the broader marketing and creative team to execute on activities that can include: Event, Digital and integrated communications, web, lead and demand gen activities, creative, content, sales and vendor support materials, program development and activities etc.
- Partner with Executive Director of Creative and Corporate Communications to co-build a 6-12 month PR strategy and assist in the content creation and management of calendar
- Provide deep insights around how key audiences interact with marketing activities and how that translates to opportunities and helps optimize performance.
- Respond quickly and accurately to requests from clients in support of but not limited to: proposals, reviews, investments.
- Work closely with the marketing account and client services team to identify areas for vendor involvement in our GTM plans and establish budgets.
- Research Canadian market trends in to influence proposals, pitches, engagements, and other partnership opportunities.
- Detail the tactical elements of programs, leverages channel marketing and lead nurturing techniques, establishes clear metrics to measure program performance and develops a detailed tactical calendar/timeline and supporting budget.
- Help to grow agency opportunities to expand existing client relationships and supports efforts to win new clients.
- Ensure coordination and interaction with teams to optimize communications flows about client objectives and activities.
- Track and analyze KPIs related to business objectives.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES**
- A desire and willingness to learn tools quickly and to dig deeper to discover new and better ways of surfacing and implementing insights.
- Problem solver who uses data and insights combined with ingenuity and data visualization tools to develop ideas, deliver solutions, and translate research insights into brand, marketing and integrated communications strategies focused on aligning with and achieving client business objectives.
- An understanding of the advertising and media landscape including but not limited to print, digital, social, PR and video.
- General understanding of customer journey as well as engagement, experience, and journey mapping.
- Understanding of the competition, market opportunities and customer experience.
- A collaborative working style with a strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and produce key results under deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to create and relate compelling presentations to senior-level decision makers, winning their confidence
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with ability to see a problem from various angles and make logical decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations.
- Ability to work in an energetic environment with a diverse team, to pivot based on evolving priorities, and to embrace healthy discussion and debate.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- **Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of marketing management and having displayed a stellar ability to build and execute on multi-faceted annual GTM plans.
- 5+ years of strategic planning experience focused on marketing initiatives, building brands, and/or creating integrated programs
- Position will require periodic travel between Canada and the US.
- Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
