**Project Manager - 12 month Limited Term**:
The Project Manager, Electrification, Seaspan Ferries (SFC) is responsible for the administration, execution, monitoring, control, reporting, construction, and integration of SFC’s electrification initiatives. The Project Manager, Electrification leads the delivery of all obligations with the execution of SFC’s electrification projects including shore and vessel related electrical infrastructure upgrades.

**Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at Seaspan Ferries Corporation - 7700 Hopcott Road Delta, BC **#LI-CV1 #LI-ONSITE**

**What you’ll do**
- Provides, oversight, coordination and direction of project activities including project set-up and kick-off; preparation and control of budgets; developing and handling project execution plans and timelines; developing core documents to support projects for execution and at an operational level; and any other project management functions as required.
- Fulfills role as Project Manager, Electrification, and construction lead on SFC’s terminal electrical upgrades in Tilbury, Duke Point and Swartz Bay including support of the execution of the project after construction to sustain operational continuity.
- Lead vessel upgrades to facilitate interconnection with shore infrastructure to allow battery charging of onboard Energy Storage Systems, including integration of automated shore power connections.
- Raise any project issues with departmental representatives. Works with all internal and external stakeholders in resolving outstanding issues.
- Manages project risks and ensures risk management is embedded in all areas of project activity.
- Delivers regular internal and external reports as required, holds regular meetings, and presents summary of progress of key program deliverables to company, partners, and clients’ representatives.
- Liaise with BC Hydro project management team and other external collaborators to ensure coordination of project deliveries are aligned.
- Manage the work of external funding commitments and ensure SFC meets its obligations under these agreements in the form of reports, data, and communication.
- Works closely with SFC’s Operations and Engineering Teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction phase to implementation/operational phase of the project(s). This includes providing support with the development of SOPs and providing mentorship and awareness for vessel and terminal operators.
- Identifies deficiencies/warranty claims and resolve program issues with designers, contractors and other consultants as required.
- Ensures all legal, regulatory and compliance obligations (both internal and external) are met or exceeded.
- Champions Seaspan ULC’s core values in all project work.

**What you’ll bring**
- A background in electrical engineering and/or red seal certification are preferred.
- Experience as a project manager working in a heavy industrial setting.
- Experience in operations and/or operational readiness.
- Excellent digital literacy including Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
- Proficient in interpretation of electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Ability to travel to the office daily and to the island terminals as required.
- Ability to work outside of traditional hours as required for project completion.
