As the **Strategic Procurement Manager**, you will lead a team of sourcing and procurement specialists, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage procurement processes, control costs, mitigate risks, and achieve critical corporate objectives.
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE**:
- Direct the implementation of contract management, oversee complex sourcing projects, and provide effective contract and supplier management;
- Manage a diverse range of projects, with a focus on complex service delivery in a wide array of areas;
- Provide consulting and guidance at all levels and across business divisions;
- Make a positive contribution to the leadership team by developing and executing complex sourcing strategies and guiding procurement teams through significant divisional and organizational transformations;
- Conduct market analyses to identify trends, potential suppliers and cost optimization opportunities;
- Identify and assess supply chain risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans;
- Any other related tasks and responsibilities.
**THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE**:
- Post-secondary qualification with a solid understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management principles, including government procurement requirements;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing critical contracts across key business areas, such as professional services, information technology, or supplier management;
- At least 3 years of experience leading supply chain teams;
- Experience in public sector sourcing at Federal, Provincial, or Municipal levels;
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of leaders;
- Superior communication skills and highly effective negotiation skills;
- Effective decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-resolution skills;
- A postsecondary degree in commerce or a related area is an asset;
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an asset.
