Under the general direction of the Fleet Stores Supervisor, you will be required to acquire, purchase, and expedite specialty utility
equipment components requested by Fleet Services staff and other Manitoba Hydro field locations throughout the province. Analyze
and control inventory at 700 Harrow location and assist with other locations.

- To ensure the provision of high service levels, must liaise with Fleet staff and field personnel to determine specific

requirements for components ensuring all technical data necessary to supply the correct items is obtained.
- Contact potential suppliers, obtain verbal or written quotations in accordance with Corporate purchasing policy, together with

delivery commitments to satisfy Corporate priorities.
- Analyze quotations and award orders on basis of price/availability as well as interview representatives regarding new

products, alternate sources of supply, or problems with their company.
- Arrange for cash pickups where this can improve parts delivery. Manage and control stock levels to minimize vehicle and

equipment downtime.
- Determine most economic shipping methods considering urgency, cost, and equipment downtime factors; expedite orders as

required through contact with suppliers, to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Ensure all components/materials ordered adhere to Fleet Technical Standards, CMVSS, SAE, WHMIS, Transportation of

Dangerous Goods and other related regulations and standards.
- Receive goods into SAP and process shipments when required. Correct receiving errors and process returns including cores.
- Maintain WHMIS inventory records and ship-controlled products in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act &
- Regulations (Ground & Air).- Review daily stock transaction reports for accuracy of quantity, description and account numbers at the satellite location, and

review stock acquisition methods and procedures within the section, recommending changes to increase productivity and
efficiency.
- Responsible to run the Fleet parts interface in M5 to ensure proper tracking and correct any issues.
- Make recommendations regarding the utilization or disposal of slow moving, inactive or obsolete parts, and review and

calculate new order points incorporating essential factors such as forecasts, trends, historical usage, lead times, safety stocks,
etc.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Minimum Grade 12 education plus an Interprovincial Parts Person Certificate with a minimum of three years experience

specifically in the automotive, heavy duty and utility equipment industry, primarily in the components sourcing and acquisition
areas.
- Thorough understanding of automotive/heavy duty/utility industry terminology, as well as a functional knowledge of the

electrical/mechanical and hydraulic components and systems found in Manitoba Hydro's Fleet vehicles and equipment.

- Possess a background which demonstrates the ability of working successfully under pressure, making sound logical decisions

in the supply of alternate components, and implementing alternate courses of action where required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of parts suppliers and component re-builders. Familiarity with related parts and service manuals is

essential.
- Technically skilled in the interpretation of vague parts requests and capable of analyzing the information received to ensure

the correct components are supplied.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Corporate SAP FRS/MMS computer system relating to purchasing, goods issue, and

goods receipt.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Corporation's purchasing policies and procedures.
- Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Ground & Air) and WHMIS.
- Possess an understanding of the requirements needed to effectively work within a service environment.
- Proven ability to work both effectively and diplomatically with other Corporate staff and suppliers.
- Possess a valid Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence with appropriate classification.
- Possess a valid Manitoba Hydro Forklift Operator's Certificate.
