**Position Summary & Purpose of Role**

The Director for Global Sustainability Procurement will develop, lead and execute the overall Global Procurement Sustainability program in support of the overall McCain Sustainability goals and commitments. The role will work closely with the respective regional procurement leaders to ensure McCain delivers on key commitments in the areas of carbon footprint reduction, renewable energy, deforestation, plastics, food waste and animal welfare. The role requires insight on regional market dynamics as well as industry trends. In addition, the role will be responsible to further refine and deploy Responsible Sourcing policy and principles. This role will also formally lead a team of two (2) Global Procurement Sustainability Managers and will be required to set clear objectives for the team, monitor performance and coach team members in order to sustain a high performance culture and support career development.

**Responsibilities And Accountabilities**

The Director will be responsible for the sourcing strategy development, senior leader stakeholder engagement and execution of programs to support the company’s sustainability program and other elements of social responsibility (i.e. animal welfare) as assigned. The person will be accountable to the VP, Global Indirect & Sustainable Procurement, regional Procurement Vice Presidents and the Chief Procurement Officer. The Director will lead a team focused on execution of the strategies with key responsibility areas including:

- CO2 Scope 3
- Develops and executes the overall Scope 3 reduction strategy for global procurement to achieve the McCain 30% reduction by 2030
- Collects and consolidates the supplier CO2 information to determine supplier-specific emission factors and improve the accuracy of McCain’s scope 3 inventory
- Leads the supplier engagement program to drive CO2 emissions reduction
- Develops and provides technical support to suppliers and internal teams
- Tracks scope 3 performance and defines the action plan based on the results
- Renewable Electricity - The Director is responsible for the achievement of the renewable electricity targets, in collaboration with the global REO (Resource Efficient Operations) team.
- Strategy and Coordination
- Owns and updates the global renewable electricity sourcing strategy
- Coordinates the regional onsite and offsite projects to ensure the renewable electricity targets objectives are met in an efficient way, maximizing the sustainability impact while minimizing the costs.
- Coordinates the projects’ approvals with the global REO team and the Board
- Support to regional teams / Capability building
- Provides technical and procurement support to the regional Energy managers, ensuring the projects are led, approved and implemented following McCain standards and processes.
- Develop and provides training, resources and guidance to the regions, to build internal capabilities and expertise to drive renewable electricity projects
- Ensures cross-functional stakeholders are informed and understand how sourcing renewable electricity work: finance, accounting, legal, leadership teams
- Audit / Data collection
- Responsible for annual data collection and reporting
- Responsible Sourcing Program
- Refine and implements the responsible sourcing program, in collaboration with the regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders such as Legal and CSR
- Builds training materials for the regional teams
- Team Leadership
- Builds capabilities within direct reporting team, focusing on development planning and coaching
- Fosters a culture that allows team to feel valued and respected
- Role model for the McCain Leadership principles and focus on embedding within day-to-day actions and behaviours of the team
