The Centre for Child Development is seeking individuals who have a passion for working with children, a desire to provide one-on-one support in a childcare setting and to be a part of helping our children to reach their potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:
This is a combination of working in the Childcare facility at the Centre for Child Development and working in the community at a variety of childcare and preschool facilities.
- Provides early learning and care to children in the Centre for Child Development’s Childcare Centre
- Provides supported childcare services to designated children in child care facilities such as preschool and day care centres.
- Assists in developing/implementing an individual program plan for assigned child/children
- Works in partnership with parents, co-workers, Early Childhood Educators, Supported Child Development Consultants and other professionals in helping each child reach their maximum potential.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Grade 12
- One-year related experience working with children.
- Early childhood Educator certification is preferred
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in the use of software programs including Word and Excel
- Valid First Aid Certificate as per childcare licensing requirements
- Valid BC Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes
- Criminal Record Review acceptable to The Centre
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Provide proof of vaccination as per BC PHO for Health and Community Care Workers

**The Centre**

Since 1953, The Centre for Child Development of the Lower Mainland has worked to overcome societal barriers for those with disabilities and empower vulnerable children and families throughout the South Fraser Region. At The Centre, we work with families to provide comprehensive, collaborative medical rehabilitation programs and multi-disciplinary therapeutic services to children with a wide range of abilities and conditions. We now serve almost 4,000 children each year through more than 30,000 sessions at over 350 locations in Surrey, White Rock, Delta, and Langley.

**Salary**: $27.10-$28.74 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
