**XPS, a Glencore company **is a licensed metallurgical engineering, technology and test services business offering industry relevant solutions and global expertise in orebody characterisation, flowsheet development, operational support, growth initiatives and asset integrity management for most commodities including gold, nickel, copper, zinc, PGEs, rare earth and industrial minerals. We comprise seven distinct integrated business groups representing the following key disciplines: Mineral Processing, Mineral Science, Pyrometallurgy, Hydrometallurgy, Process Simulation & Modelling, Process Control and Materials Technology.

The Manager Business Services, XPS, holds an influential position reporting to the Vice President, XPS and assumes a vital role within the XPS leadership team. Charged with the task of financial management and reporting along with health, safety and environmental compliance, this role is influential in ensuring the continuity of operations and business success.

In this capacity, the incumbent will lead and direct the financial management, budgeting and forecasting of XPS performance along with contract and project management activities. This includes the operational oversight, ensuring business compliance is achieved, and cost-effective systems are established. By doing so, the Manager Business Services, XPS provides critical support to both immediate and future organizational requirements.

The Manager Business Services, XPS, will plays a role in shaping the path forward and aligning operational strategies with overarching business objectives. Leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the XPS business’s reputation for excellence and its adherence to core values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance, direction, mentorship and development to the XPS leadership team with respect to financial, contract and project management;
- Define and manage the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure XPS is a self-sustaining asset within Glencore.
- Manage the monthly and annual financial reporting process including monthly forecast of annual results against plan.
- Ensure site compliance with Glencore policies/standards and local legal requirements, and provide assurance through reporting for health & safety performance, environmental and business compliance;
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and oversee the XPS Health & Safety program.
- Provide management and oversight of the XPS facility to ensure the safety, reliability and continuity of operations;
- Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies along with training and development programs for all personnel.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all XPS business activities;
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement;
Knowledge/Skills
- A professional accounting designation (CPA).
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a financial management and reporting role preferably in a for profit engineering or technical services organization that provides services to the mining industry.
- Knowledge of contract law and business administration.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and regulations for mining plants and industrial establishments.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems for financial and project management at administrator level. Specific knowledge of Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint software is an asset.
- Strong leadership, planning and management skills.
- An acute business sense and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Multilingual is considered an asset.
