Under the direction of the Transportation Services Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the safe, efficient,
and effective logistics scheduling of material and equipment to locations throughout the Province of Manitoba. The individual will be
a key member of the Transportation Services section and will exhibit professionalism, using technical expertise to ensure decisions
achieve the best overall value for the Corporation and are aligned with Department and Corporation goals.

**_ Responsibilities:_**

strategic and innovative thinking to maximize efficiency and achieve best overall value for the Corporation, while ensuring
stakeholder needs are met.
- Apply/provide logistics planning and transportation expertise to establish and ensure optimal utilization of resources and

equipment, including identifying and recommending process changes and courses of action for productivity and/or
cost-effective improvements.
- Track current work performance, analyze the data, and work with our stakeholders to initiate changes in routes and load

management to achieve efficient use of resources resulting in overall cost savings.
- Create tracking documents and develop performance metrics for the section in conjunction with the Transportation Services

Supervisor.
- Lead the development and implementation of electronic work requests and stakeholder focused dashboards for material

tracking from order to delivery.
- Utilize current technology or implement new technology to identify opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency.
- Manage third party carrier and transportation service contracts, managing communication and control throughout the process
- ensuring stakeholders requirements are met.- Participate in the development of business planning, identify improvements through detailed cost/benefit analysis and engage
- with management and stakeholders throughout execution to monitor performance and effectiveness.Act; City of Winnipeg, Municipal, Provincial and Federal Transport Industry Regulations; Law Enforcement, TDG and WHMIS.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or other relevant field from a recognized university plus a minimum of three years'

directly related experience.
OR
- A two-year diploma in business administration, logistics, or other relevant field from an institute of recognized standing plus a

minimum of five years' directly related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in logistics planning and business management of transportation services.

- Proficient knowledge in vehicles and equipment, including maintenance, operation, testing and certification requirements,

rigging techniques, cargo placement and load securement.
- Proficient knowledge in provincial road networks and highway classifications, geographical locations, distances, and winter

road systems.
- Proficient knowledge of government legislation including but not limited to Workers' Compensation Act, TDG, WHMIS,

Workplace Safety and Health Act, and the Highway Traffic Act as it pertains to Corporate and Private Carriers.
- Demonstrated degree of diplomacy and tact with proven capability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, and

interact with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of utility materials, material utilization, and material handling procedures, and the various functions,

responsibilities, and services used throughout the corporation would be an asset.
- Must possess a valid Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence.

**_ Salary Range_**

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $36.19-$50.10 Hourly,
$69,351.10-$95,998.50 Annually.
