Inventory and Purchasing Manager

What you'll do:

- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts
- Monitor and analyze demand patterns to forecast future inventory needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate demand planning and order fulfillment
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Manage the supply chain process, including sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and generate purchase orders
- Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to ensure accurate inventory counts and efficient storage practices
- Conduct regular analytics and reporting on inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Implement best practices for materials management, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of inventory
- Maintain accurate data in inventory management systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability
- Generate and issue purchase orders to replenish stock levels and fulfill shop orders in a timely manner
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with vendors to secure competitive prices, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective sources of supply.

What you bring to the team:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management and purchasing roles, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in MRP systems and other inventory management software tools
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution practices and procedures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
