**COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER**

**General Description**
Ultimate Canada, the national sport organization for the sport of Ultimate, is looking for an energetic, self-starter to fill the role of Communications Manager.

The position will split time between managing communications and supporting program and events delivery.

**Duties**
- Programs and events: provide administrative support for Ultimate Canada programs and events
- Website: Create, maintain, and update content on the Ultimate Canada website
- Social media: Manage the organization’s social media. This includes the creation of social media posts, replying to inquiries, and monitoring social media for the organization
- Community communications: Manage general communications with athletes, leagues, and PTSOs through various communication tools including the e-newsletter
- Promotions: Manage the promotion of Ultimate Canada, including developing and distributing media releases for Ultimate Canada programs, answering media queries and developing media resources
- Livestreaming: Manage Ultimate Canada’s livestreaming of events
- Events: Manage communications for all Ultimate Canada sanctioned events and support the operation of these events. Manage regional championships
- Promotional activities: manage the Art Hawkins Great Canadian Ultimate Game and Bring your disc to work day
- Resource Development: Design, develop and obtain general resources to promote

Ultimate and Ultimate Canada programs
- Volunteer Management: Work with Ultimate Canada staff to promote volunteer opportunities and recruit volunteers for events
- Awards: Manage Ultimate Canada awards program
- Bilingual services: Manage the translation of communications materials, including website content and internal documents and policies
- Committee Management: manage Ultimate Canada’s Hall of Fame committee, Spirit of the Game committee, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee
- General Support: Support the Ultimate Canada Executive Director and Ultimate Canada staff as required
- **Skills Required**_
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure; work independently, maintain tight schedules and multi
- task effectively in a dynamic and service-oriented team environment
- Presents a professional attitude in dealing with the team members, sponsors and the public
- Experience working with websites, Microsoft word, and Microsoft excel
- Bilingualism (English and French) is not required but is a definite asset
- Experience working with photography and videography software is an asset, but not required
- Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is an asset, but not required

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
