**Overview**:

**Responsibilities**:
Setting Strategy
Responsibility for Fund investment strategy and execution and return performance.
Drive the strategy and facilitate new investment thinking and capital allocation to fully harness sustainability as a driver of value creation with a positive impact on the world.
Assume leadership role in product development and execution of capital raising plan to grow AUM (target growth channels, specific new clients, etc); Prepare and conduct presentations as required.
Monitor emerging issues and trends related to real estate that will influence the sectors that the Fund(s) operate within. Help shape the organization’s view on these trends and ensure business opportunities are considered while associated risks are mitigated.
Be the catalyst for the development of innovative portfolio management practices that benefit the organization’s investment strategies and goals whilst meeting clients’ needs and building business.
Executing for Results
Lead overall management of Fund team - portfolio / asset management.
Set clear and challenging goals while committing the organization to improved performance, tenacious and accountable in driving results.
Review and approve the annual portfolio budget and portfolio metrics.
Ensure sufficient existing client coverage and assume leadership and oversight of all client-facing communication. Travel as needed.
Collaboration on P&L responsibility for the Fund (i.e., growth of fee revenue and management of expenses to maximize platform profitability.
Ensure compliance with Fund policies (asset mix, diversification, risk profile, ESG).
Assume a leadership role on Fund governance matters (Advisory Board, Executive Committee, and ongoing requirements)
Adapt nimbly through uncertainty and lead others through complex situations.
Act in a transparent and consistent manner while always considering what is best for the investors.
Relationships and influence
Key member of the Canadian leadership team and decision making. Interface with global team as a key representative of the Canadian business.
Connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
