**Description**:
The Head of Strategy is a foundational leader within the Simply Told organization, dedicated to creating excellent connections: between healthcare professionals and patients, between pharmaceutical brands and those who need them, between disparate ideas that lead to insights, between technology and tactics, between innovation and execution, between clients and agency, and among colleagues. Storytelling ability—in all forms—is a critical skill. As the strategy lead, you will partner closely with account and creative leads as well as the Chief Strategy Officer to define the vision of the department, build and mentor the team, pitch new business, ensure excellence of strategic work for existing clients, and foster a culture of being simply connected, courageous, and considerate.
The Head of Strategy will be evaluated on ability to manage multiple clients/brands/indications, and manage/grow members of the team, and in being a thought leader within the organization regarding the role of insights and strategy in the development of effective content and omnichannel engagements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Drive the agency business
- Build and implement the vision for the strategy department within the agency
- Understand research and uncover customer insights—both healthcare professional and patient
- Understand and create customer experience journeys, with ability to make technology, media, and KPI recommendations
- Design customized workshops (eg, positioning, messaging, competitive analysis) and dynamically lead facilitation
- Collaborate across departments including Creative, Account, and Medical to create optimal positioning, platforms, and program recommendations for pharmaceutical brands
- Develop strategic deliverables that include but are not limited to: competitive analysis; brand positioning; creative core idea; market research synthesis, creative brief, workshops (activities and output reports), and brand plans
- Provide leadership within their team/department
- Understand and access available tools and data resources; recommend tools that would expand agency capabilities
- Train and develop talent within their team/department
- Motivate and encourage direct reports and act as a mentor to those within their team/department
