**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Designer will support product sustaining and new product development of medium voltage switchgear.

**Primary/Essential Responsibilities**:

- Participate in design review and understand customized design requirements
- Choose correct modular subassemblies and configurations of the product
- Research design concept and purchase components
- Detail and draft new parts required for the new design
- Prepare mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerance, and bill of material
- Assemble test set up, and modify if necessary
- Prepare and conduct mechanical and electrical experiments
- Plan and complete defined design and test work per schedule
- Prepare production and test documentation
- Process test data and report test results
- Support production, Supply Chain, Sales and QA

**Required Qualifications**:

- 3+ year Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering
- Good understanding of mechanical principle and equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical instrument and devices.
- Experience with 3D solid modeling and drawings (CREO)
- Hands on in a lab environment
- Good team player and quick learner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate the activities with diverse tasks and demanding schedules
- Excellent command of the English Language verbal and written
