Dependable Truck and Tank Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical/Structural Design Technician (Drafter) to plan and complete sales and production drawings and for custom Highway Tanker trucks and Emergency Response Vehicles.

**Responsibilities**:
Proficient in creating metal fabrication and mechanical designs including drawings and BOM lists, using SolidWorks is required.
- Must be able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment and be able to take direction.
- Create drawings and bills of materials for components and body assemblies. This includes making layout drawings, and detail drawings as required by development of a new product or revising an existing product.
- Welding knowledge is an asset
- Provide hands-on assistance to shop personnel for manufacture/assembly of products as appropriate where necessitated by complexity of projects or priorities for project goals.
- Under direction of Lead Cad Designer or higher, organize and maintain records of materials, drawings, spreadsheets, test results, job histories, etc. of projects for future reference.
- Utilize a variety of software programs such as spreadsheets, databases, *Inventor 2015*, CAD programs, Windows, etc.
- Proficiency in mathematics and geometry is a necessity for this role.
- Hands on fabrication and mechanical experience is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team. Proficient English is an asset

**Education Requirements**:

- Secondary School + Mechanical Engineering Technician or Mechanical Engineering Technology Certificate from an Ontario College or equivalent.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
