**Physician Assistant**

**Lawrence Park Cardiology is participating in the 2024 Physician Assistant Career Start (PACS) program and looking to hire eligible graduates from Ontario’s 2024 Physician Assistant programs**

The **Physician Assistant** is responsible for providing leadership and support to the physician on duty.

**Roles and Responsibilities - Under the Medical Directive of a Physician**:

- Act independently as a Physician Assistant at Lawrence Park Cardiology and Yorkview Cardiology
- Conduct histories, physical examinations, order and interpret investigations, perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Educate patients on treatment
- Work to extend physician services and can work autonomously
- Works side-by-side with echo/ecg techs
- See patients and reviews results

**Qualifications**:

- Awarded the Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) designation from CAPA - **Mandatory**:

- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Current registration in good standing with CAPA.
- ACLS certified, required
- Experience as a Physician Assistant, an asset.
- New graduates of PA Programs are welcomed
- Experience in out-patient Cardiology, an asset

**Duties**

Work independently and with the Physician in charge.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- EMR: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Canadian University Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M4N 3N1
