**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to oversee and manage the regulatory requirements related to the legal distribution of hemp-derived products. This role will ensure the company’s products adhere to all federal and state-specific laws, providing leadership in maintaining compliance, preparing required documentation, and updating internal processes to meet the latest regulatory changes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Regulatory Research and Compliance**:

- Monitor and stay updated on federal and state regulations regarding hemp-derived products, including Delta 9 THC, CBD, HHC, and other cannabinoids.
- Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation for the legal distribution of hemp products, including licenses and permits required for each state.
- Ensure all product labels, packaging, and marketing materials comply with relevant state and federal regulations.

**State-Specific Requirements**:

- Track and manage different state regulations concerning the sale, distribution, and transportation of hemp-derived products.
- Regularly update internal teams on changes in state legislation and adjust compliance procedures accordingly.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies to ensure all business operations align with state-level requirements.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive system for managing compliance documentation, ensuring all required filings, reports, and renewals are completed accurately and on time.
- Create and maintain compliance checklists for each state and product type, ensuring the company is always audit-ready.

**Internal Communication and Training**:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and sales, to ensure compliance procedures are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on compliance updates, focusing on state-specific distribution rules and requirements.

**Risk Management and Auditing**:

- Lead internal compliance audits and assessments, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure all compliance programs mitigate risks related to state laws on the distribution of hemp products.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the hemp, cannabis, or supplement industries.
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing hemp-derived products, including the 2018 Farm Bill.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory texts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple state-specific compliance requirements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management software.

**Preferred**:

- Experience working with regulatory bodies, legal teams, or government agencies.
- Previous experience in managing product distribution across multiple states with varying legal requirements.
