- Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, the People Operations Business Partner will support Wagepoint’s continued growth by driving People Operations functions focused around our Canada and US based employees. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to various areas of our people operations from talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, training & development, to compensation and benefits and beyond. You will be the main point of contact for all People Operations related inquiries for our North America-based team and demonstrate a true level of care.What you'll be doing:

- Build strong collaborative relationships with managers and leaders, ensuring a full understanding of key business and people issues that will enable the provision of expert input to the business.
- Assists in the execution of **performance management** processes, including setting goals and conducting performance reviews. Assists managers through performance management, including coaching and progressive discipline.
- Assists in the development, documentation, and communication of company **policies and procedures, **and **assists and advises managers and employees** on the interpretation of company policies, compensation, benefits program, and best practices.
- Documents and improves new and existing **SOPs** and HR **procedures**, as well as executes those processes including promotions, terminations, transfers, demotions, pay change transactions and record relevant changes in employee files in a timely manner.
- Utilizes data, understands trends and provides insights from the business into the design of key people operations programs/solutions and to work with the business to implement agreed solutions effectively.
- Partners closely with business leaders and People Ops peers to ensure change management initiatives are well executed and supported by a comprehensive communications and engagement plan.
- Performs and executes People Ops programs to ensure delivery of the People Ops roadmap such as compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
- Working with the People Ops team, provides full employee life-cycle support and guidance from attraction to onboarding through to offboarding, to employees and managers across multiple departments, teams, and provinces/states.
- Manages and processes all aspects of **Employees Relations**, including **Leave events** (such as documentation, provider coordination, accommodation, and employee communication) as well as conducting any **investigations** according to our policies (including maintaining documentation, and recommends appropriate resolutions of employee relations issues).
- Reviews **exit interviews and employee surveys, and **develops and communicates recommendations based on findings.
- Supports the administration of **benefits programs**, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Assists with employee benefit inquiries.
- Maintains **team activity** in the absence of the Director of People & Culture; contacts team members as needed for guidance.

What you bring to the table:

- **Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources** or related field required.
- **5+ years of experience** in a HRBP or related role.
- **CHRP, CHRL** or other related HR designations is strongly preferred.
- Up-to-date on HR best practices, laws, and regulations. You know how to communicate these to others and you’re ready to continue learning and growing.
- A proven track record in strong business partnering and collaboration with senior business leaders in a fast moving business environment
- A great communicator and collaborator who loves working with people. Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
