**Position Summary**:
The Contract and operational Risk Analyst is responsible for evaluating potential risks, assessing their impact, and developing strategies to mitigate or manage them effectively. This role involves analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support decision-making and enhance the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Contract Management
- Develops, monitor, analyze, and assesses the performance of contracts and collect key performance indicators
- Facilitate the creation, review, and execution of contracts in collaboration with legal, procurement, and relevant departments
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, including versions, amendments, and related documentation
- Develop and implements contract management database and decision support solutions including monitoring contracts performance
- Conduct initial reviews of contracts to identify key terms, obligations, and potential risks
- Collaborate with legal professionals to ensure contract terms align with organizational standards
- Monitor initiatives against plans; maintaining performance indicators
- Coordinate new initiatives to meet the organization’s business operational objectives
- Assists in the delivery and execution of projects and work on digitization strategies and actions to reduce print and move to a paperless environment
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and develop strategies for mitigating contractual risks
- Assists in defining project scope, drafting business cases, conducting feasibility studies, and completing cost benefit analysis
- Stay abreast of privacy laws and regulations and ensure compliance with Long Term Care privacy requirements

Renewals and Amendments
- Track contract expiration dates and coordinate the renewal or amendment process as needed
- Work with relevant parties to negotiate and finalize contract modifications
- Collaborate with procurement and Finance to ensure contractual obligations are met and address issues

Privacy Management
- Stay abreast of privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA, and ensure the PCH's policies align with Long Term Care privacy requirements
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address specific Long Term Care privacy concerns
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new projects, systems, or processes, emphasizing the unique privacy considerations in resident care
- Work closely with project teams to integrate privacy measures that align with resident care goals

Risk Management

**Risk Assessment**:

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and exposures within the long-term care home environment
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on action plans resulting from risk and control reviews through the use of Enterprise Risk Management tools
- Evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on residents, staff, property, and operations

**Data Analysis**:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to incidents, accidents, near-misses, and other risk factors to identify trends, patterns, and root causes
- Utilize statistical analysis and risk modeling techniques to quantify risk exposures and assess their potential impact on the organization

**Risk Identification and Reporting**:

- Work closely with departmental managers and staff to identify and report risks, hazards, and compliance gaps
- Prepare risk assessment reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
- Assisting in the documentation of operational risk incidents, analyzing the root cause of the loss event and reviewing management of the action plans to remediate process or control weaknesses

**Risk Mitigation Strategies**:

- Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies, controls, and preventive measures to reduce the likelihood and severity of identified risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management policies, procedures, and best practices throughout the organization
