Reporting to the Director of the Schizophrenia and Community Integration Service, the Brant Assertive Community Treatment Team (Brant ACTT) Manager provides leadership and direction for a self-contained, off-campus, community-based program which provides intensive services for clients with serious and persistent mental illness. The ACTT Manager is responsible for the overall management of the clinical team, human resources, risk management, budget allocation, and quality monitoring. The ACTT Manager takes an active role in strategic planning, program development, and optimizing patient flow within the larger mental health system. The ACTT Manager promotes the integration and ongoing advancement of best practice approaches and standards. As a leader the ACTT Manager provides, facilitates and promotes the highest standard of care and support for both clients and their families, and team members.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required; Masters Degree in Nursing or health related field preferred.
- Current CNA certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN(c)) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience working with persons with serious and persistent mental illness, addictions and their families.
- Previous experience in community settings preferred.
- Current CPR, First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) or Community Safety Training certification.
- Demonstrated intake experience with understanding of Assertive Community Treatment Team shared model of care and ability to effectively lead a team to work within this service model.
- Current and demonstrated knowledge of Ontario’s Mental Health Act, Healthcare Consent Act, Substitute Decisions Act, Community Treatment Orders and Privacy legislation.
- Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of management and leadership principles in an inter-professional community-based mental health care environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communications, coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills that facilitate positive interactions among all members of the interdisciplinary mental health care team and with relevant community partner.
- Demonstrated superior understanding of systems, systems analysis techniques, value analysis process and continuous improvement principles and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce and effectively facilitate change.
- Demonstrated superior decision-making and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support and critical analysis in stressful, complex clinical and emotional situations.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
- Demonstrated effective strategies to guide and manage staff experiencing conflict, performance and/or attendance problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the inter-professional team, internal and external programs, services and agencies using timely, appropriate written, verbal and non-verbal means.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive, respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Participation in research, evidence-informed practice, and program evaluation.
- Current and demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Anzer and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license and business insurance for transporting clients and staff as required.

Monday - Friday; days, with availability for contact on off hours for emergencies/crises
