**Job Summary**:
The Community Support Worker assists individuals served in achieving their educational, social, recreational, and emotional goals within their community. Supports include attending to individuals' physical and behavioral support requirements and liaising with the Program Facilitator, Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager. Reporting directly to the designated Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager, the Community Support Worker plays a crucial role in supporting community integration.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Implementing and evaluating community-based recreational, social and, educational activities.
- Supporting individuals to participle in identified activities.
- Providing guidance with life skills, social skills and employment related skills.
- Providing emotional support to individuals and monitoring their wellbeing.
- Advocating with participants in support of their inclusion in the community
- Modeling appropriate behaviour.
- Using positive behavioural supports at all times for the safety of individuals served, community members, yourself, and other support team members.
- Communicating progress, changes or concerns regularly to the Program Co-ordinator and/or Program Manager.
- Communicating with the families or caregivers of your schedule as needed (e.g. sick).
- Being part of Person Centered Planning meetings if requested by the individual served.
- Adhering to Lifetime Networks Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Following health and safety standards.
- Administering First Aid as needed.
- Writing Critical Incident Reports.
- Administering medication as required in accordance with established guidelines, procedures and instructions
- Recording hours, expenses and mileage in virtual payroll system.
- Supporting continuous quality improvement.
- Other tasks assigned by Program Coordinator or delegate.

**Qualifications**:

- Double Vaccinated against COVID 19.
- Post
- secondary certification related to support for people with developmental disabilities or related experience
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities
- Class 5 driver license, clean driver’s abstract, and personal vehicle are key assets
- Flexible availability
- First Aid Certification required upon hire
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Must be comfortable with personal care

Pay: From $24.76 per hour
