**The Role**:
The Shell Trading & Supply (T&S) Products organization is at the heart of Shell’s Downstream business. T&S Products exists as the integrator to enable stronger end-to-end value delivery. We do so through managing and optimizing the physical refined products supply chain as well as creating value through trading. We create integrated value by maximizing the value potential across different lines of businesses and delivering the right product to the right place on time at the maximum margin potential.

As Channel Optimization Business Analyst, you will sit in the Pricing Team which is part of the Channel Optimization team that is responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, crafting annual business plans and supply performance appraisal for the Canadian Envelope. The team plays a key role in managing working interfaces with the Downstream (DS) classes of businesses and assisting with managing short
- and long-term regulatory compliance.

Your role, as Channel Optimization Business Analyst, will provide supply chain analytical support to drive timely and informed decision making as well as act as an key integrator to maximize optimization opportunities in the refined products and biofuels space..

**Accountabilities**:

- Maintain the transfer price for intra-company transactions and margin segmentation for each Business Unit in the Downstream Supply Chain to retain clear accountability for its profit and loss working closely with the Energy Market Pricing group
- Responsible for Transfer Price updates and calculations (including requests, inquiries, and maintenance) for hydrocarbon and logistic costs between T&S and line of businesses, as well as advising and supporting margin analysis and system setup
- Ensure transparency and accuracy of the Refinery recovery process and assess the impact/delta between the actual cost’s vs budget through engagement with key stakeholders
- Contribute and deliver to the T&S Annual Business Plan by collaborating with Channel Optimizers, Energy Market Pricing group, and Finance to capture recovery of all supply chain costs
- Responsible for Products Master Reference Data for Crudes, Intermediates, Fuels and Additives including new material setup, extension to plants, and data management through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process
- Lead, advise and coordinate E2E new business system set-up across multiple teams related to new products and product extensions at all terminals
- Assist in Regulatory margin analysis and provide PLM support to support CO and Low Carbon Fuels Compliance projects, targets, and reporting
- Collaborate with Finance Teams and Channel Optimization to compile segregated orbit Profit and Loss reporting by Class of Business for end-to-end profitability valuation.
- Organize and lead the New Business Scenario sessions with various stakeholders including Low Carbon Fuel, Product Quality, Channel Optimization to ensure system set-up for material extensions or new product codes..

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years in related role experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in, Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline
- Strong commercial acumen
- A key requirement is the ability to manage various working interfaces. Must be comfortable adapting to and understanding systems and web-based tools. GSAP knowledge is an asset
- Competence in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and MS Teams
- High level of competence in Excel required and VBA/Macro knowledge is ideal
- Ideally has knowledge of Canadian hydrocarbon supply chain, logistics, and refining economics, as well as bio-fuels
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 work from home). Required to be in the office Tuesday/Wed, 3rd day of your chose
