**Role and Responsibility**

Working as part of the Giwetashkad Indigenous Homelessness team, and using a wholistic Indigenous-led approach to principles of harm reduction and trauma-informed care, the Project Manager will be responsible for creating an actionable work plan towards conducting community engagement with Indigenous people experiencing homelessness and service providers to create an evidence base for an Indigenous-led Coordinated Access approach. The Project Manager is prepared to work with a diverse range of community stakeholders and to advocate for the Strategic Directions of the Giwetashkad Indigenous Homelessness Plan and provide robust, actionable and measurable policy recommendations for improving housing and homelessness services for Indigenous people. The Project Manager will work with the Director of Housing and Healing Services to implement the strategic objectives of the ARCH program and participate in the ARCH community of practice. The Project Manager will also provide support with annual operational budgets and reporting. The Project Manager provides trauma-informed staff supervision and maintains staffing schedules. The Project Manager must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Suitability**
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the languages, traditional ways, history and cultures of the Indigenous population in the London region
- Strong analysis of colonialism and the ways in which historical and ongoing colonization impacts Indigenous peoples intergenerationally
- **University degree or equivalent work or community experience in Social Work, social sciences, humanities and/or other related field**:

- **Experience working with Indigenous people experiencing homelessness**:

- Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to provide training support and supervision
- Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal relations, problem-solving, crisis intervention, group dynamics, community development and other innovative approaches
- Understanding of cultural safety and an awareness of its impact on practice
- Ability to work in outdoor locations and do minor physical labour such as gathering poles and building lodge
- Skills in conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation (to build trust and resolve disagreements)
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills and the ability to prioritize multiple competing workload demanding fast paced environment
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others in a respectful manner as defined in the Atlohsa Code of Conduct
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License, First Aid and CPR certificate and Current Vulnerable Sector Check

**EMPLOYMENT TERM**:Full-Time contract to March 31 2025

**REMUNERATION**: Competitive compensation ($65,000-70,000/year) and benefits package based on qualifications
