**The opportunity**:
We are looking for an outstanding team player to fill this vital role in Clinic Support Services at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry.

This full-time continuing sessional position plays the important role of supporting a group of dental students, academics and patients with their respective educational and dental needs from an administrative perspective. The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for the assignment and transfer of patients, patient phone calls, ensuring valid fee assessment to patient accounts, processing payments, collection of accounts receivable, submission and preauthorization of insurance claims, and chart review. The PCC provides excellent customer service and must have a good overall understanding of Clinic and College policies to appropriately meet the needs of College instructors, students and patients.

This position also supports the Variety program regarding undergraduate pediatric clinic. This clinic operates to provide dental students the clinical experience to fulfill the pediatric dentistry courses.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution is required.
- Three years of directly related experience is required.
- Experience in using a computerized dental office program is required, including payment processing and completion of third party dental claims.
- Good keyboarding skills and knowledge and experience in a Windows or Office 365 environment is required.
- Good number retention and attention to detail is required.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively and diplomatically with co-workers and the public is required.
- Must have ability to be a team player.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required
