The **Edmonton Convention Centre** is seeking **part-time** **Event Services Crew** to join the team for afternoon and overnight shifts In this role, you’ll be hands-on with the physical set-up and dismantling of the event spaces, taking on the labour tasks required to run successful events. As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in creating exceptional event experiences.

- Preparing rooms for set up and delegate cleaning duties as required
- Set up and take down of rooms according to work orders, including arranging tables, chairs, bleachers, and staging.
- Hanging and dismantling pipe & draping as required using the proper tools and technique.
- Responsibly manage recyclable materials and waste disposal.
- Operating and maintaining equipment like forklifts, manlifts, and power jacks with appropriate certification.
- Maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and ensuring that back corridors are kept tidy, equipment is properly stored, and fire exits are clear at all times.
- Removing any unnecessary equipment that obstructs access into Halls, Salons & Loading Docks.
- Understanding and complying with Explore Edmonton Health and Safety policy, ECC’s Health & Safety Program and OH&S regulations.
- Minimum High School Education
- Experience in labor type work with focus on hotel, tradeshow or Convention Centre related
- The ability to handle stressful situations appropriately in a fast-paced environment and work independently when required
- The ability to carry 50 pounds. Must be able to lift and assemble chairs and tables, locate staging and bleachers. Able to walk, bend and lift for extended hours
- Strong work ethic and able to work with deadlines as per our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Must have flexibility to work afternoon and midnight shifts.
