**Who we are**:
Endocrinologist (Dr. Sharon Sadry) and Gastroenterologist (Dr. Akshay Shetty) sharing an office across from Michael Garron Hospital.

**The opportunity**:
We’re looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our new clinic starting ASAP. An exciting opportunity to be a patient experience leader for a new and innovative clinic.

**What your day will look like**:
You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and will manage the patient journey from the initial referral and appointment to coordinating labs and follow-ups:

- Register patients on arrival and coordinating the flow of patients to keep the clinic running on schedule
- Organize appointments for new patients and follow-ups
- Responding to patient inquiries
- Preparing patients for appointments and ensuring the patient chart is accurate and up-to-date
- Managing incoming documents from other practices and clinics and ensuring proper documentation
- Following up on labs, referrals, and coordinating additional patient care

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent computer skills

**Ideally, you also have**:

- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant (preferred but NOT required)
- Post-secondary education in a Certified Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems **(knowledge of Accuro is a strong asset)**

**Start Date**:July 2023 but flexible to slightly before or slightly after

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
