The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

**IT HELPDESK TECHNICIAN**
**Key Responsibilities**
Area 1:
IT helpdesk excellence.
- Provide first point of contact support and resolution to Cote Gold employees, visitors and contractors requiring assistance with computer systems, hardware and software.
- Accurately track issues and resolutions through an enterprise helpdesk system.
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Work collaboratively with site and global technology teams to ensure positive client experience(s).
- Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and service providers to deliver on technology requirements.
- Ensure reliable technology is available for customer use, including but not limited to, printers, scanners, copiers, audio-visual equipment, electronic displays, and meeting room equipment.
- Co-ordinate preventative maintenance program to minimize the risk of unplanned downtime to on-site technology.
- Provide appropriate identification, tracking, escalation, and communication for regional or site issues.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of site technology-related assets.
- Provide/assist with training requirements for users.
- Dutifully complete budgetary and administrative assignments.
- Support the IT/OT department project objectives and understand the business objectives associated with implementation of technology solutions on site.
- Contribute to future integration strategies with contractors and suppliers, outsourcing and partnership arrangements, and overall site support needs.
- Develop reports and metric data that measure IT Helpdesk performance. Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- Continually seek to improve your skills as an IT Helpdesk Technician.
- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
Area 2
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).
- Coordinate with other team members to meet deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure equipment metrics and system data are accurate and complete.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
- Equivalent work experience would be considered.
Work experience - Nature & Length
- 6 months of experience or more is considered an asset.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Additional qualifications - Competency requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An openness to learning new technologies.
- Customer-oriented and even-tempered.
- Familiarity with hardware/software installation and configuration.
- Knowledge in installing and troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Safety-minded.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure support [server/network], cyber security and governance.
