You will be responsible for representing Milestone in a professional way that reflects our core values of Ingenuity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Caring, Accountability and Collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- **Opportunity Identification**: Conduct thorough market research through industry contacts and events, to identify potential clients and opportunities that align with the organization's strategic goals. Develop and maintain a database of prospects to ensure a steady pipeline.
- **Client Engagement**: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies. Initiate and manage meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business opportunities.
- **Pipeline Management**: Create and manage a comprehensive pipeline of opportunities, ensuring a balanced mix of short-term wins and long-term strategic prospects. Track and report on pipeline status regularly, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
- **Strategic Planning**: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement business development strategies that align with organizational goals. Identify emerging market trends and adjust strategies to capitalize on new opportunities.
- **Proposal Development**: Lead the preparation and submission of proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the organization's value proposition to potential clients.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment in pursuing new business opportunities and delivering on client expectations.
- **Performance Metrics**: Set and achieve targets for new business acquisition and revenue growth. Analyze performance data to refine strategies and improve future outcomes.
**Health and Safety**
- Read, understand, and participate in MECI’s Corporate Health and Safety Program, Policy, and Procedures.
- Ensure health and safety are considered in the performance of all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of securing new business and growing a pipeline in a competitive market.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
