**Position Overview**

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Finance Administrator and Finance Coordinator, the Finance Manager is responsible for supporting all financial operations at FFBC. This position will liaise with all internal departments to ensure accurate financial record-keeping, reporting, transaction processing and compliance with financial policies. This role will ensure clear and effective communication within the finance and other internal departments to help align financial goals with organizational objectives. The Finance Manager works closely with the Director of Finance to maintain a high level of financial management within the organization.

The Finance Manager plays a critical support role to the Director of Finance by handling various tasks and responsibilities that ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Financial**
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports and summaries
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software
- Ensure all expenditures are documented and ready for internal and external audits
- Collect and consolidate financial data from different sources for reporting purposes
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information
- Ensure the Director of Finance has access to accurate and up-to-date financial information to make informed decisions

**Budget Coordination**
- Coordinate the budgeting process, gather input from internal departments and provide timelines
- Assist in monitoring and managing departmental budgets
- Coordinate activities to achieve Board approval to meet annual budget, planning and reporting cycles

**Administration**
- Creating, owning and maintaining work plans to meet project/team/organizational outcomes
- Schedule meetings and manage the finance calendar
- Manage projects and track work activity to make sure project deliverables are on time and completed
- Manage financial projects and initiatives, working closely with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders
- Provide administrative support in preparing presentations and reports for meetings, including board meetings or financial reviews
- Create and manage financial templates
- Provide administrative support to the Board of Director’s Finance Committee
- Serve as liaison and the first point-of-contact for the Finance function in supporting internal departments
- Communicate financial information and updates to relevant stakeholders as directed by the Director of Finance

**Policy Administration**
- Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
- Ensure organizational compliance and training with all FFBC financial policies, protocols and processes

**Grant Disbursement Administration**
- Manage internal controls and procedures to track grant funds
- Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions and communications related to the grant
- Coordinate with project managers to submit requests for funds based on the grant's schedule and requirements
- Develop processes for streamlined grants financial administration
- Serve as primary contact for grant financial activity; provide financial analysis, management support and guidance.
- Develop and implement systems to track reporting deadlines and requirements for all grantee organizations
- Support the coordination of new financial granting initiatives

**Financial Technology and Systems**
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software
- Manage the data process to ensure the finance team provides accurate and reliable financial data through the effective use of technology
- Implement recommended improvements to technology

**Compliance and Audit**
- Manage compliance with local, provincial and federal financial regulati
