We are currently seeking to fill 2 summer student roles of:
**BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER**

**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting with repairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of the School and its surrounding grounds.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Perform daily property maintenance tasks and assist with work orders.
- Assist with testing and adjusting repaired products for proper functioning.
- Assist with performing routine maintenance jobs such as painting, plumbing, electrical, plastering, landscaping, etc.
- Assist with making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Collaborate and co-operate with other members of the faculty/staff.
- Move furniture, inventory and/or equipment as requested
- Perform other related and/or delegated duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**:

- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including: lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well as part of the Maintenance Team.
- Ability to use a two-way communication system.
- Ability to take instruction.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in the not-for-profit sector would be considered an asset.
