Lead Cook

**We are looking for a full-time Experienced Cook.**

Urban Pantry is a contemporary Canadian, farm to table, full-service restaurant. Our menu changes constantly, sourcing many ingredients locally. Reporting to the Executive Chef you must be able to work in a fast pace environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work alongside chef to manage the kitchen logístically
- Work with chef to create new dishes on a regular basis
- Manage food inventory & place orders
- Help manage + mentor other staff
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion control and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
- Help with all aspects of food preparation
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef

**Requirements**:

- Completed formal education at a culinary school
- 5 years experience working in a kitchen
- Be passionate about the culinary industry + food
- Enjoy the creative process of new dishes
- Enjoy working in a team environment

Bonus Skills:

- Previous experience in a senior cook position
- Background in pastry
