START DATE: Orientation/Training: Approximately last week of June 2024

Summer Care Program Begins: July 2, 2024

END DATE: August 23, 2024

HOURS: average of 35 hours per week

RATE OF PAY: $17.55/hour
- Be legally entitled to work in Ontario
- Meet the eligibility criteria (Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act)
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive) at the start of the employment

Good Beginnings Day Nursery is looking to hire multiple Summer Care Early Childhood Program Staff Assistants. They will follow our Mission, Vision, and Program Statements, Confidentiality Agreement, and the policies established by the Board of Directors, and regulations under the Child Care and Early Years Act. They will also ensure that they are integrating Good Beginnings’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging values into their environment.

We are seeking friendly, energetic and engaged individuals, who possess the following qualifications:

- Experienced and passionate about working with children
- Excellent communication skills
- Works well in a team environment and independently
- Current Police Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check (if applicable) acceptable to Good Beginnings
- Health Assessment including Immunization Records

Familiarity with the following resource would also be an asset;
How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
