**Stores Attendant III (Casual)**

Positions at this level receive a variety of articles and perform related stores duties such as shipping, unpacking, checking, stocking shelves and transporting supplies.
**What you’ll do**
- Receives, unpacks and checks incoming materials, ensuring that good are delivered as per specifications and completes related paper work such as signing delivery slips.
- Assembles issues, delivers and ships goods for return and/or from requisition requests received, completes appropriate documentation and records for charging to appropriate areas, as required.
- Contacts suppliers to resolve shipping/receiving related discrepancies.
- Transmit faxes for the department as required.
- Stores all goods received in appropriate space.
- Transports stock and materials to all areas of facility.
- Assists with physical inventories as required.
- Cleans and rotates stock, and keeps assigned stores areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Performs related clerical duties including filing, as required.
- Maintains security measures such as closing doors and windows, turning off lights and electrical equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**What you bring**
Qualifications
- Grade 12 plus one year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including heavy lifting.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).

**Job Type**:Casual (Casual is defined as on call with no guaranteed hours. Shifts can be called out via short call (1-5 hours of notice) or pre-booked).
**Wage**:$25.26 / hour + 13% in lieu

**Hours of Work**:07:30-15:30 shift times. On call relief for sick calls or vacation block coverage.
