The YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for someone who enjoys teaching and developing others to fill the position of Education Tutor. Through high quality care and service to families in YMCA Childcare programs, you will assist with bridging educational learning gaps children are experiencing. Prospering Families Child Care will align support with extended hours of childcare and operate out of the Castle Downs Family YMCA.

**4:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday-Friday**

**10:00 AM- 12:00 PM Saturdays**

**Essential Functions**
- Consistently represent** **YMCA’s values and mission, comply with all YMCA Policies, procedures and Provincial Licensing regulations
- Assist with assignments to bridge educational learning gaps
- Deliver effective instruction and strategies to facilitate student understanding, clarify concepts and reinforce learning through practice exercises
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different leaning styles, abilities and student needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Ensure children are accounted for at all times
- Treat all families respectfully, bearing in mind their values, culture and background
- Build relationships with families and communicate, verbally and in writing on a daily basis
- Commitment to Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies and Procedures
- Attend all required professional development and training opportunities
- Consistently provide a safe and clean environment following all cleaning procedures
- Complete required administrative tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Experience working with children
- Tutoring experience an asset
- Standard or Child Care First Aid & CPR - C
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check
