Job Title: Child and Family Worker

Location: Edmonton

Position Overview:
As a Child and Family Connections Worker at Hope 4 Life, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need. You will be responsible for building strong connections with families, assessing their needs, and providing tailored support and interventions to promote positive outcomes. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will empower families to overcome obstacles and access the resources necessary for their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Case Management
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with families, setting clear goals and objectives.
- Provide ongoing case management support to individuals, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions as needed.

2. Family Support and Advocacy:

- Offer emotional support and guidance to families facing challenges such as parental stress, child behavioral issues, or financial difficulties.
- Advocate for families within the community and liaise with external agencies to access services and resources.
- Empower families to navigate systems and overcome barriers to accessing healthcare, education, housing, and other essential services.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for internal review and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.
- Daily reporting

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development is Mandatory
- Previous experience working with children and families in a social services or community-based setting.
- Knowledge of child welfare systems, family dynamics, and community resources.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations.
- Proficiency in computer skills and record-keeping.

**Hours**:
Monday to Friday

25 Hours (9-2pm preferred)

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
