**We are currently seeking Food Service Workers/Dietary Aides to join our growing and dynamic team We have full time and part time opportunities available**

**Duties and Responsibilities Include**:

- Set the dining room tables with cutlery, mugs, side plates, napkins and condiments
- Portion menu items such as desserts, milk, juice, salad plates, follow therapeutic menu portion sizes
- Prepare sandwiches and special request items
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and friendly manner fulfilling the mission of St. Joseph's Villa
- Ensure Ministry of Health Standards are met
- Prepare nourishment carts and serve afternoon snacks
- Wash pots, pans and small wares
- Clean dish machine and dish room equipment
- Participate in Departmental Safety Inspections when required
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Experience**:

- Certified Food Handlers Course is required
- Certified Food Service Worker Course or interest in enrollment is an asset
- Experience in Long Term Care is an asset
- Chef training or culinary management diploma or certificate is an asset
- Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is an asset
- Registered dietitian is an asset
- Cook issued by the Director of Apprenticeship is an asset
- Post-secondary diploma in food and nutrition management is an asset
- Post-secondary degree in food nutrition is an asset
